Global, a Canadian TV network, ordered an original period drama about women living during the Second World War (1939-1945).
The show will be called Bomb Girls and it will take place in Toronto during the 1940s.
The series, which will premiere in winter 2012, will be centred on a group of women who have to work in munition factories. They have to build guns and bombs on the assembly line, because their husband went to war to serve in the Canadian army.
For the moment, the casting and the production schedule haven't been announced.
