The hit Canadian science-fiction TV series Sanctuary will return for a third season. The show will premiere on Space, a Canadian cable network dedicated to sci-fi, on October 15 at 9 PM.
Note that Ashley Magnus, the character played by Emilie Ullerup, will not be in the third season. This character was killed in the second season.
This show created by Damian Kindler follows Dr. Helen Magnus (Amanda Tapping), the head of the Sanctuary Network, who either hunts abnormal creatures or offer them a shelter. She leads a team made of forensic psychiatrist Dr. William Zimmerman (Robin Dunne), weapon expert Kate Freelander (Agam Darshi) and computer expert Henry Foss (Ryan Robbins). This goes without saying that Magnus offers a sanctuary to some abnormal creatures because she wants to study them. In the third season, the team tries to reach god-like abnormal Kali and prevent it from unleashing tidal waves that will kill million of people worldwide.
Like other seasons, Sanctuary was shot in Vancouver. The show is still shot in front of a green screen and uses a RED camera.
