Production has begun today on the second season of the Canadian comedy series Dan for Mayor and will be over on December 8, 2010. For the moment, CTV, a Canadian TV network, hasn't announced any premiere date for this show.
The story follows Dan Phillip (Fred Ewanuick), a bartender and a slacker in his thirties. After he finds out that his ex-girlfriend, Claire (Mary Ashton), is engaged, Dan decides to run for mayor in the fictive town of Wessex, Ontario against the incumbent mayor, Bud Calgrove (John Kapelos). Can Dan be taken seriously?
The also stars Paul Bates, Benjamin Ayres, Suzanne Coy, Laurie Murdoch, David Ferry, Lara Jean Chorostecki and Agam Darshi.
