Short Film 'Day Before Yesterday' Will Open Rhode Island Int'l Film Festival

Canadian director announced that her short film Day Before Yesterday will be screened at the Rhode Island International Film Festival in the USA. Besides, the short film will open this event that will be held from August 10 to 15.

In the story, a woman (Michelle Boback) is found unconscious in the middle of downtown Montreal. Since she seems to suffer from a memory loss, she's taken to a police precinct. Besides, she's interrogated by two officers (Jacques Godin and Richard Robitaille) who try hard to find out who she is despite the gargantuan lack of clues.

The festival is considered by many as the qualifying festival for the Best Short Film category of the American Academy Award. Moreover, Patricia Chica's award-winning short film was selected among a record entry base of 4,200 submissions from 35 countries.

Here are the screenings schedule of the short film:

  • Tuesday, August 10th at 7 PM: Opening Night Screening.
  • Wednesday August 11th: Patricia Chica will be part of a film panel
  • Thursday August 12th at 2 PM: Screening followed by a Q & A with the filmmaker.

Finally, this will Patricia Chica's second participation at the Rhode Island International Film Festival. In fact, back in 2000, Patricia Chica short film La promesse won the Best Film in a Foreign Language Award at the Rhode Island International Film Festival.
