CW Acquires Canadian Comedy Series '18 to Life'

After a run this winter on CBC, a Canadian public TV network, the Canadian comedy series 18 to Life will be aired in the USA on CW, a TV network. This means that this show created by Derek Schreyer and Karen Troubetzkoy will premiere on CW on August 3 with back-to-back episodes airing from 9:00-9:30 PM and 9:30-10:00 PM.

Tom Bellow (Michael Seater) and Jessie Hill (Stacey Farber) have been neighbours for 12 years. At the tender age of 18 years old, they decide to say "I do" to each other. Of course, this also means that their parents will have to cope with this mariage whether they like it or not. Ben (Peter Keleghan) and Judith (Ellen David), Tom's parents, are a little bit socially conservative. Phil (Alain Goulem) and Tara (Angela Asher), Jessie's parents, are tree-huggers who like to rock out. However, when Tom and Jessie move into the attic of Tom's parents, new tensions between the two families come to the surface.

Moreover, the show also stars Jesse Rath, Kaniehtiio Horn, Arielle Shiri, Erin Agostino and Carl Alacchi.

Finally, no release date has been announced for the DVD of the first season in Canada. However, fans of 18 to Life can sleep better now, because CBC has renewed this comedy series for a second season.
