My colleague Diane Kristine Wild over at TV Eh? revealed the Canadian promo poster of the upcoming Canadian TV series Rookie Blue. The show will premiere on simulcast on Global, a private Canadian TV network, and ABC, an American TV network, this Thursday at 9 PM.
The first episode of this show created by Tassie Cameron documents the first day on the job of a group of five rookie police constables.
Andy McNally (Missy Peregrym) does a serious mistake and ruins a long-running undercover drug sting. In order to fix her mistake, she decides to go face to face with a gunman related to the drug sting. The other four members of the group of five rookies are Traci Nash (Enuka Okuma), Andy's best friend and a single mom; Dov Epstein (Gregory Smith), a thrill-seeker who has been raised by hippie parents; Chris Diaz (Travis Milne), a by-the-book constable; and Gail Peck (Charlotte Sullivan), the group's politico who thinks about the day she'll be the chief of police.
Add to this Detective Sam Swarek (Ben Bass), a rogue training officer, and Luke Callaghan (Eric Johnson), a charming workaholic homicide detective, and Andy will have more on her hands on and off the beat then she could have ever foreseen.
