After a Canadian premiere on the TV network CTV, the Canadian TV series The Bridge will finally arrive in the USA. In fact, the show will premiere July 10 on CBS, an American TV network, at 8 PM.
The TV series is loosely based on the experience of Craig Bromell, the former head of the Toronto Police union. We follow Frank Leo (Aaron Douglas), a street cop who is tired to see that the union's bark is worse than its bite while facing "the brass". Because his colleague finds him charismatic and that he organized a massive walk-out, Frank is elected as the head of the police's union.
As a head of the union, Frank promises that the union will always be there for the cops and that the whole police force will be cleaned from the top to the bottom. In his quest, Frank will be helped by Abby St-James (Ona Grauer), a beautiful lawyer, and Tommy Dunn (Paul Popowich), his partner. However, Ed Wycoff (Michael Murphy), the chief of police, will not let Frank have his way.
The show also star Theresa Joy, Inga Cadranel, Frank Cassini, Genadijs Dolganovs, Arnold Pinnock and Fiona Highet.
