Syfy, a science-fiction-oriented American cable network, announced that the Canadian TV series Haven will premiere July 9 at 10 PM (ET/PT). The series is based on the novella The Colorado Kid, by Stephen King.
In the show, we follow Audrey Parker (Emily Rose), a shrewd FBI agent with a lost past, arrives in the small town of Haven, Maine to solve a murder. Before long, her curiosity lands her in the centre of activity in this curious enclave, which turns out to be a refuge for people cursed with a remarkable range of supernatural afflictions. Among the townspeople are local cop Nathan Wuornos (Lucas Bryant), who eventually becomes Audrey's partner, and the mysterious and charming Duke Crocker (Eric Balfour).
